All the way back in 2011 I decided I wanted to participate in an activity called Shameless Gaming Month. Here’s a relevant article. Almost 5 years later and I have very little to show for it. Steam says I have 320 odd games. A quick count of the games on my shelf total at least another 50 on various consoles. I am a victim of the dreaded Steam Sale, trying to get clean one game at a time.
It’s not all doom and gloom. In my time I have managed to finish a handful of games. Portal, Mirror’s Edge, Braid, Portal 2, Sonic Generations, Limbo, and a couple of handheld titles (mostly Pokemon). But 10 or so games out of almost 300 doesn’t really add up. One reason for this is the amount of time I have sunk into World of Warcraft, and more recently Rocket League. Oh so many hours… I’ve also done a bit of travelling and now I’ve studying at university. So it’s all about finding the time, or even making the time, to try and play the countless games I’ve bought that so many people are crazy about.
So that’s what this blog is for. I’m going to try and keep a log of my gaming, whether I like the game or not, maybe reasons why (or maybe that’s just like my opinion man), and hopefully I can make a dent in my ever growing pile of shame.
